Couples & Relationship Counselling

Are you and your partner, stuck repeating negative patterns; have unresolved issues; or avoid raising anything for fear it will lead to conflict? Why wait longer to reach out for help - your relationship needs to grow.

Learn new ways of listening and gain the confidence to be heard, while your partner does the same.  Whether you have unresolved conflict, damaged or broken trust, sexual intimacy issues, or are always 'on different pages', there is hope to learn and grow together to find new ways of relating, co-creating a relationship you love to be in.

Pre-Marriage/Long term commitment Counselling

Are you 'in-love' and longing to build a strong foundation of trust with your partner that lasts and grows through the years?

Whether you are living together or engaged and looking forward to marriage, if you learn the tools and skills that enable and strengthen long-term relationships - you will learn how to support a strong, loving, long-term relationship.

Couples Intensive Weekend

In your busy lives do you find there is no space for each other, or distractions 'steal you and your partners time'?  Has a sense of loneliness crept into your relationship and sadness that the 'spark' is gone?  When you do talk do you end up arguing or misunderstanding each other?

Sometimes regular sessions are too hard to commit to - why not consider a Couples Intensive?  Focused time over a weekend allows for a process that can accomplish more in two days, than months of regular therapy can.  Recent research claims it is equivalent to up to 6 months of therapy.

Couples Weekend Retreats

Away from the routines and busyness of your daily lives, join a group of up to five other couples who share similar desires, to build and maintain strong, committed, long-term relationships.

The retreat blends structured sessions and free time for relaxation and reflection. Activities boost communication, led by a skilled Counsellor. By the weekend’s end, couples leave with new insights and stronger bonds, ready to nurture their relationship with shared passion.

Meet Lynda

My name is Lynda Morel.  I am an experienced and compassionate Counsellor with 16 years of experience.  I have a strong background in supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s complex and emotional challenges.  I gained my Bachelor of Counselling from Bethlehem Tertiary Institute  and have further studied with The Couples Institute in the U.S. and have deep roots in the local community.  I aim to bring both professionalism and genuine care to to my practice.

Confidentiality is an ethical requirement, but is also paramount when living and working within small communities where, no doubt I may at times, see you in public.  I have Counselled in my hometown of Howick for 16 years, I couldn't have maintained my reputation if a lack of confidentiality was a problem.

As your therapist, I don't view myself as the expert, but as one who is also applying what I share with you in my own life.  There are days I definitely do that better than others, but I am always intentional about trying to improve.  Lets talk.
